  • Reclaimed Belgian Block Cutting Board 51" x 100"

For centuries, streets in European cities have been paved with solid granite bricks called Belgian blocks. To make them, stonecutters slice pavers from massive slabs laid on wooden boards. We've repurposed the boards and mounted them in handmade solid oak frames to showcase their abstract beauty. Cross-hatched with grooves created by the massive saw blades, each board is hand finished with a layer of thin concrete, making each truly one of a kind.

    • Actual cutting boards, reclaimed from stone-carving workshops in Belgium
    • Patinaed by hand to highlight the pattern
    • Framed in solid oak and ready to hang
    • Keyhole mount
    • Due to the found nature of each piece, variations in size, shape and finish are to be expected and celebrated. Each item is unique and no two are exactly alike.
    • 51"W x 2¾"D x 100"H
    • Weight: 78 lbs.
